Nutella desserts in KL to die for

A million crepes is better than one! – HungryGoWhere pic, February 2, 2016.A million crepes is better than one! – HungryGoWhere pic, February 2, 2016.Why stick with plain old white bread when it comes to Nutella? Here are some of our favourite desserts in KL featuring the creamy chocolate hazelnut spread!

A jar of Nutella is sold every 2.5 seconds, faster than the eight seconds between each human’s birth across the world. With such popularity, we figured we'd find some of the creative creations made from the humble chocolate hazelnut spread.

So put aside the debate of whether it's called "Nu-tell-la" or "Nut-tel-la" for one second – just let HungryGowhere show you some of the treats around our city that even diabetics occasionally risk.

Nutella Mille Crepe @ Yellow Brick Road

Yellow Brick Road on Jalan Batai has a dazzling plethora of scrumptious cakes available at the counter, just in case you pass by them in a daze of wonderful smells.

We quickly zeroed in on this little black beauty of a light, moist Nutella mille crepe cake (RM12) though, and found it perfect – its layers not too sweet, and very satisfying. In terms of killer desserts, this one was presented as a felt glove with an addictive grip.

Nutella with Banana Naan @ Fierce Curry House

It’s hard 'thosai' which is better, but it’s delicious 'naan' the less. – HungryGoWhere pic, February 2, 2016.It’s hard 'thosai' which is better, but it’s delicious 'naan' the less. – HungryGoWhere pic, February 2, 2016.Ditch the savoury regular naans like the pedestrian cheese or garlic, and come over to Fierce Curry House in Bangsar to try their famous sweet options instead!

The naan is baked in the tandoor as usual, but instead of pairing it with cheese, raisins, what-have-you as you would traditionally, they cut up slices of fresh banana and drizzle Nutella (very generously) over the naan before cutting it into convenient bite-sized pieces, for your dining pleasure.

Now if you want to experiment with different textures, feel free to try the thosai or roti with the delicious Nutella instead (RM10). It’s a fierce fascination, and it’s even near the Bangsar LRT, making it easier to access.

Nutella Cheese Tart @ Sixty9 Islamic Steakhouse

That's exactly how our Nutella cheese tart tasted at Sixty9 Islamic Steakhouse – melting into our mouths.

The doodles of rich, moist chocolate hazelnut cream sat atop a creamy cheesecake base and a crumbly shortbread crust. Not surprising that this was one of our favourite stops in our adventure around Melawati, as the Nutella cheese tart was only the crowning end of our heavy dinner!

Banana and Nutella Waffle @ Brewmen Coffee

We’d have this for breakfast every day! – HungryGoWhere pic, February 2, 2016.We’d have this for breakfast every day! – HungryGoWhere pic, February 2, 2016.Oh goodness me, have we had some waffles. Let’s just say Brewmen definitely pleases with their Milo Cornflake or Butter & Kaya local choice of toppings.

A whole waffle is cut into quarters and then made into a sort of waffle burger where the "filling" is made up banana slices. That way, you get two "dessert waffle sliders", each crowned with a scoop of vanilla ice cream before receiving the glorious Nutella shower treatment. What a sexy looking treat, dangerously destructive!

Nutella Chocolate Bomb @ Rebellions Coffee

Too much you say? Oh no, then you’ll probably not be able to handle Rebellion’s Coffee's signature twist on this rebellious drink, as the glass is lined with a thick layer of Nutella for you to scoop and scrape!

This is a drink that separates the pros from the chocolate rookies, something worth putting your life on the line for.
