Available on desktop versions of YouTube, the Enhancements feature lets creators blur objects – from licence plates to wardrobe malfunctions – even while moving.

The tool, which uses new technology that analyses the motion of any video, simply requires users to draw a box around the object they want to obscure. The area can be resized or moved at any time.

Announcing the news on its blog, YouTube explained that it designed the new tool "with visual anonymity in mind", to protect people, contact information or financial data. – AFP/Relaxnews, February 26, 2016.
