JDT regain top spot in Super League

The fourth win of the Southern Tigers after five matches saw them collect 13 points, one more than their nearest competitor, Felda United.        

In the action this evening, JDT, had to wait till the second half to open the score via a penalty taken by team captain Safiq Rahim in the 49th minute.  

Referee Wan Mohd Tarmizi Wan Ibrahim awarded the penalty kick after JDT winger Mohd Azinee Taib was brought down by a host player inside the penalty box. 

Argentinian import striker, Jorge Pereyra Diaz sealed the match with a goal in the 77th minute for JDT. 

Meanwhile, victory continued to elude Perak after five matches in this Super League season when they played to a goalless draw against Terengganu FC II at Perak Stadium, Ipoh. 

The results saw Perak and Terengganu FC II remain at the 9th and 10th positions respectively.     

The Malaysian League will take a break after this to give way to preparations of Harimau Malaysia squad in their match against Saudi Arabia for the 2018 World Cup and 2019 Asian Cup qualifying round at the opponent's venue on March 24 before the league resumes on April 4. – Bernama, March 14, 2016.
