‘MacGyver’ reboot casts first actor

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Eads will play the role of Lincoln, a compassionate government employee who comes off as a conspiracy theorist.

The show itself follows a younger, 20-something MacGyver as a recruit for a clandestine organisation where he prevents disasters from happening using unconventional methods.

The titular characters have yet to be cast.

The CBS reboot will also be directed by David Von Ancken, following the departure of James Wan, due to scheduling conflicts. – AFP/Relaxnews, March 10, 2016.
