Generating more than 400,000 tweets per minute, DiCaprio's win on Sunday night far surpassed the record previously held by Ellen DeGeneres' for the presenter's star-studded selfie that she posted back in 2014.

The other Oscar moments that got tweeters talking were "Spotlight" picking up the award for Best Picture and "Mad Max: Fury Road" winning its impressive sixth award, this time for sound mixing. – AFP, February 29, 2016.
