RTD admin assistant pleads guilty to CBT

A Terengganu Road Transport Department (RTD) administrative assistant pleaded guilty at the Sessions Court in Kuala Terengganu today to criminal breach of trust (CBT).

Sahaslina Mat Yazid, 29, admitted committing CBT involving road tax payments amounting to RM14,452 at the vehicle licensing division counter, Level 1, between June 1 and October 15 last year, between 8am and 5pm.

Judge Mohd Azhar Othman set bail at RM6,000 in one surety and fixed January 5 for sentencing.

Meanwhile, in the magistrate's court, Sahaslina was charged with 25 counts of unauthorised modification by cancelling road tax transactions amounting to RM14,412.

The offence was allegedly committed at the same place between June 1 and October 29, 2014.

Magistrate Rozianti Mohamed Hanatiah allowed bail of RM50,000 in one surety and fixed January 5 for sentencing. – Bernama, December 30, 2015.
