Revamped ‘Top Gear’ series welcomes two new presenters

Two virtually unknown presenters have reportedly been picked for the BBC’s revamped “Top Gear” motoring series, following an exodus from the programme’s previous cast.

German racing driver Sabine Schmitz, motoring journalist Chris Harris and former Formula One star David Coulthard, have been tipped to join the latest reincarnation of “Top Gear”, led by veteran presenter Chris Evans (via Deadline).

The news follows the departure of executive producer Lisa Clark this week, having joined less than five months ago, along with script editor Tom Ford who is allegedly not returning at the end of his contract.

Clark replaced Andy Wilman, who joined ex-“Top Gear” hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May on their new Amazon series.

The new "Top Gear" is likely to take on Clarkson's Amazon series in 2016. – AFP-Relaxnews, December 24, 2015.
