Mark Millar’s new ‘Empress’ comic coming next year

Comics writer Mark Millar is unveiling a new comic, "Empress", with Marvel's Icon Comics, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The story focuses on a galactic dictator's wife, Emporia, who takes her three children back to her home – Earth, 65 million years ago – to get away from her evil husband.

Millar, who created comics-turned-movies like "Kingsman: The Secret Service" and "Kick-Ass", will partner with Marvel comic book artist Stuart Immonen on "Empress".

The science fiction adventure, which Millar describes as a "big, fun, bombastic space opera", will come out next year.

Millar and Immonen have already worked together, when they produced a handful of "Action Comics" for DC Comics in the 1990s. – AFP/Relaxnews, October 24, 2015.
